Nick's determination and perseverance were evident even as a teenager when at age 15 he and his father attempted to climb Mount Whitney. Although they got stuck near the summit in a perilous electrical storm, they returned two years later and successfully reached the peak.
This grit has served Nick well in his architectural career. As a principal at HK, Nick oversees the firm's interior design studio and coordinates relationships with clients. He works closely with his team overseeing all aspects of design projects from start to finish. He honed his creative talents and technical skills during his six years at Axis Mundi, a prestigious residential architecture firm in New York City.
Nick is a graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and spent a transformative year abroad studying architecture in Copenhagen with help from the Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara’s Architecture Award. He loves the creative problem solving aspect of his work and puts great care into finding optimal design solutions for every unique project.
